After a long time without news, here is the GP2X beta version of FP-Project game.

FP-Project is now portable to all kind of platform.

FP-Project is entering the NEO summer 2006 coding compo …

This release is dedicated to the NEO summer 2006 coding compo:

This is an fp-r4 release with new backgrounds and the NEO splash in the bottom screen of the DS.

FP-r4 is out !!!

This time I release FP-r4; this new version gets a lot of new features:

  • There is a helpWithDotBall feature when you lose (see the screenshot)
  • It is now possible to edit level files and re-include them in the game without a need for a complete devkitARM toolchain.
  • You can include new background and mod files for each level very easily.
  • The new version has been compiled with the latest devkitARM 19a

Next step is wifi multiplayer game which will be achieved very soon (I’ve made a lot of progress in this way).

And as promised, here is the latest source code that I’ve cleaned a lot (fp-src-r4.zip).

FP-Project Update

Hello ;)

I think I’ve identified the bug which could freeze the game when the ball hits a wall.

Is someone can confirm me that its work ? Because it seems to appear only on some hardware.
This is due to the little tweaking of the sources when swichting from elf devkitARM to the new eabi one.

For this reason, I’ve deleted the old project sources.

I’m cleaning it and will post them again soon in a clean version.

The new version of the game includes now animated ball sprites and use GBFS for loading sounds and level background.

The next version will load level from a text file in a GBFS archive enabling us to include/edit levels without a complete toolchain (Without recompiling all the project).

Here is the new version called fp-r3.nds, here is the fp-r3.ds.gba version.

Wifi and multiplayer game will come very soon.

First Enhancements

Hello,

As I promised, source is available here (no more available see next post).
To build it, you’ll need the lastest devkit ARM release (eabi not elf one).

I’ve made some minor modification to the project since the first release.
I’ve slow down the speed of the ball and change the sprites, here are some screenshot:

“FP-Project” a Frozen Bubble Clone For The DS

Hello, here is my first post, this is a beta release of a tiny game I’ve begin to develop.

The game is working with 99 levels.

I’m integrating the sgstair wifi lib to add a multiplayer mode to the game.

I’ll keep you in touch with my progress.

  • I need some artwork !
  • Music is in .mod format
  • New level map (it’s very easy to write a level this is done with a simple text editor)
  • Coding (adding new features)
  • Testing (especially for the multiplayer game because I only own one DS)
